After the curtailed performance, Cudi revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he was taken to hospital with a broken foot, although he appeared to be in good spirits.
âHey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show,â he wrote. âJust leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy.
âI wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.â
Kid Cudi was a late addition to the second and final weekend of Coachella and only announced he would be performing at the festival five days before. He was drafted in to replace Canadian singer AP Dhillon.
âINSANO BOY IS COMIN,â he wrote on Instagram alongside a poster and a timetable, showing a roughly 40-minute set starting at 5:10 p.m. PST on the Sahara stage.
Prior to breaking his foot, the 40-year-old performed fan-favorite tracks like âTequila Shots,â âUp Up & Awayâ and âMemoriesâ with David Guetta, as well as material from his latest albums INSANO and INSANO (NITRO MEGA).
Cudi will be hoping to make a quick recovery as he is set to return to the stage in just two monthsâ time for his INSANO World Tour.
