Doechii just recently spoke about wanting to collaborate with Kendrick Lamar, although she admitted that she doesnāt quite feel ready yet.
āI donāt assume anything and I also donāt feel entitled to a Kendrick feature but I would absolutely love that. Thatās the goal,ā she said on The Joe Budden Podcast. āIām sure that, like, for my debut project, eventually Iām gonna ask Top [Dawg] if he could ask Kendrick, or ask Kendrick myself and see what comes from that.

āBut Iāma be real, I donāt think I have the record right now for that opportunity. I think I would have to come a certain way and I donāt think Iām ready for that.ā
The co-hosts were impressed by her answer, with Budden himself saying: āI love that from you.ā
Itās been a banner year for Doechii, whose Alligator Bites Never Heal has also earned high praise from TDE labelmate ScHoolboy Q.
Following its release in August, the āTHat Partā hitmaker wrote on X (formerly Twitter): āJust Here to say DOEcHiiā¦ dats all I care about at da moment.ā

The acclaimed project has even been compared to Kendrickās breakout 2011 mixtape Section.80 by the man who discovered and guided the Compton native to superstardom, TDE founder Anthony āTop Dawgā Tiffith.
āI have the same feeling I had when KDOT dropped Section 80,ā the record executive wrote on Instagram while promoting its release. āSheās 1 of those ones 4sho !!!! #TDE20 #TimelessClassicMusic.ā
