Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign will reportedly be dropping their heavily-delayed Vultures 2 album this week — but of course, that could change.
In a since-deleted update to Ye’s YZY website on Wednesday (July 31), a release date of Friday (August 2) was announced.

Vultures 2 has been plagued with delays since missing its initial release date of March 8. Kanye West later announced that it would drop on May 3, but the project again failed to arrive with no explanation.
Despite this, Ty Dolla $ign has repeatedly insisted that the album is still on the way, saying during a livestream with Russian YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy in May: “It’s dropping ASAP. Vultures 2 is on the way. It’s coming soon. Any day now.”

He also confirmed that the project would be released exclusively on Kanye’s YZY app instead of traditional streaming services — an idea that had been floated by Ye previously.
In what’s seemingly a good sign that the LP may really be dropping, Ty Dolla revealed last week that he and the Chicago rap legend will deliver a Vultures “listening experience” in Taiwan on August 25.

While similar events held earlier this year have seen the duo perform the already-released Vultures 1, the California crooner hinted that this upcoming show will be a premiere of their second collaborative project.

“V2,” he simply wrote in his caption.
The news re-energized fans for the prospect of Vultures 2, with one user commenting on the post: “V2 IT’S COMING.”
Even fellow rapper Denzel Curry was excited, commenting: “LETS GOOOOOOOO.”
The Taiwan performance will follow a similar listening experience in South Korea on August 23, which was announced earlier this month.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign were previously scheduled to embark on a mini-tour of U.S. cities to perform their first Vultures album, but the plug was pulled at late notice, purportedly due to “time constraints” in readying the performances.
A separate show at the Step Pyramid of Djoser in Egypt was also postponed, although a rescheduled date has yet to be announced.
