Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s first Vultures concert in China was marked by plenty of memorable moments, including the premiere of new music.
During the sold-out show, the Chicago rapper and Los Angeles singer debuted an unlikely remix of Vanessa Carlton’s 2002 pop hit “A Thousand Miles.”

In a snippet of the song captured from the live performance, Ty can be heard singing Carlton’s lyrics over a beat that closely resembles the original.
While Ye’s vocals aren’t heard in the video, the track also features feral noises that were lifted from Skinbone’s viral parody remix of “A Thousand Miles” from 2018.
Ye also debuted another unreleased song called “Preacher Man” which he said was from his “next project,” although it’s unclear if he was referring to Vultures 3 or an upcoming solo album.
The concert made Kanye and Ty one of the few Western acts to perform in the notoriously strict China, which had previously banned the likes of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber from touring there.

The show was also something of a homecoming for West as he lived in China for a year as a child while his mother Donda West worked as a school teacher in the country.
He acknowledged as much on his Instagram page, posting an old photo of himself in China along with the caption: “BACK.”
