Kanye West has attempted to explain why he designed and sold a T-shirt with a swastika emblem on it.
Returning to X after his explosive tweet storm during Super Bowl weekend, the rap legend addressed the controversy over his lengthy rant, which saw him attack Jewish people, praise Hitler and Nazism, and defend violence and sexual abuse against women.

“I REMEMBER GOING TO JAPAN AND GASPING WHEN I SAW WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE SWASTIKA ON CLOTHING IT FELT ILLEGAL TO EVEN LOOK AT IT THATS HOW I HAD BEEN PROGRAMMED I THEN FOUND OUT THAT SWASTIKA HAD MANY DIFFERENT MEANINGS AND MANY DIFFERENT NAMES.”
The Yeezy boss also revealed that his antisemitic rant had led to the departure of two employees and teased a feature on The Game‘s upcoming album The Documentary 3.
“I WILL WRITE THIS MORE POETICALLY IN A BIT CAUSE RIGHT NOW IM FINISHING MY VERSE FOR GAME’S ALBUM,” he continued. “THE IDEA OF BEING JEW PROOF IS I SAID ALL THESE POLITICALLY INCORRECT THINGS AND NOBODY WAS ABLE TO STOP ME EXTORT ME THREATEN ME TO CHANGE ANYTHING AND I MADE 40 MILLION THE NEXT DAY BETWEEN MY DIFFERENT BUSINESS.

The swastika T-shirt isn’t the only item of Yeezy clothing that has caused a stir of late. After calling for Diddy to be freed from jail, Kanye began selling the same hoodie that was worn by Cassie when she was brutally attacked by the disgraced mogul in 2016.

The Chicago native later boasted that he had made over $30,000 in revenue from sales of the hoodie and even attempted to justify the horrific assault, calling it an act of “true love.”
