Justin Timberlake has commemorated his birthday with a special performance paying homage to former collaborators the Clipse.
On Wednesday (January 31), the former NSYNC member marked his 43rd birthday with a free performance at Irving Plaza in the heart of New York City.

During the one-night-only show, Timberlake delighted fans with a medley of his chart-topping classics while offering a sneak peek of anticipated tracks from his upcoming album, Everything I Thought It Was.
Among the highlights was a Hip Hop-flavored rendition of “Summer Love” where Timberlake performed his sultry song over the beat to the Clipse’s iconic 2002 hit “Grindin.'”

That same year, Timberlake collaborated with the Virginia Beach duo on his breakout solo single “Like I Love You,” which was also produced by The Neptunes.
Exactly 20 years later, the trio shared the stage at Pharrell’s Something In the Water festival, which marked Pusha T and No Malice‘s first performance in over a decade.
At one point during his birthday concert, Justin Timberlake paused to seemingly take a shot at his infamous ex-flame Britney Spears amid their recent drama.
“I want to take this chance to apologize to absolutely no one,” he said while addressing the crowd, referencing Conor McGregor’s infamous 2016 post-fight interview.

Timberlake’s choice words come after Spears dropped several bombshells about their highly-publicized relationship in her memoir The Woman in Me.
In the tell-all, the “Toxic” singer claimed that Justin — who she dated between 1999 and 2002 — pressured her into getting an abortion after she fell pregnant.

“Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,” she wrote.
“I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”
She also claimed that Timberlake once adopted a Black accent when running into Ginuwine, although the R&B singer said he didn’t remember such an encounter.
On the music front, JT is readying to hit the road for the first time in five years as he prepares to drop his next album this spring.

Last week, the 42-year-old singer unveiled the itinerary for his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which commences on April 29 in Vancouver, Canada and concludes on July 9 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Before the trek kicks off, the “SexyBack” hitmaker will release his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was, on March 15. The lead single “Selfish” is out now.
