Just Blaze has had enough of being mistaken for The-Dream; so he’s posted a selfie alongside the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter to clear up any confusion.

The “Song Cry” producer was in NYC supporting the launch of JAY-Z’s new “The Book of HOV” exhibition and took to Instagram on Friday (July 14) to set the record straight on his supposed doppelgänger.

The “Girls, Girls, Girls” producer recalled the times he would walk the red carpet at award shows and they would announce him as The-Dream by accident.

“Back in the late 2000’s early 2010’s I suffered many a red carpet where they said ‘ladies and gentlemen it’s The Dream!!’ And I’m like ‘hi.. I’m Justin’ and made it awkward for everyone. ‘Oh it’s the dream and his real name is Justin!’ ‘No. I’m Just Blaze,'” he wrote.

Just Blaze also remembered a day in NYC where he and Dream rocked the same outfit walking out of Ralph Lauren and paparazzi posted pictures labeling him as the “Umbrella” co-writer.

“Didn’t help that we once walked out of RL soho dressed in the same outfit within 30 mins of each other and the same Pap took pics of us both and uploaded me as him,” Blaze continued. “Anyway, here’s proof me and @thekingdream aren’t the same person.”

Even if they didn’t see the similarities before, plenty of fans voiced their approval in the comment section. “I see it now lol yeah, y’all from the same tribe,” one person said, while another added: “Now I can’t unsee it.”

Just Blaze and JAY-Z pumped out plenty of hits working on albums like The Blueprint and The Black Album inside the famed Baseline Studios which was recreated as part of the “The Book of HOV” exhibition.
