Juice WRLD and Cordae have joined forces on new track “Doomsday,” which hears them spitting over a classic Eminem instrumental — see the song’s mind-blowing accompanying video below.
Released on Friday (June 23), the posthumous track finds Juice and Cordae going back-and-forth over Em’s “Role Model” from his 1999 major label debut The Slim Shady LP, which is produced by Dr. Dre and Mel-Man.

A deepfake of Eminem’s Slim Shady alter-ego also makes an appearance in the video, as he recites the track’s original intro: “Okay, I’m going to attempt to drown myself/ You can try this at home/ You can be just like me.”
Cordae then paints the scene before one long verse begins, explaining how Juice WRLD was eating ice cream with caramel at the time of recording.

The video for “Doomsday” is just as stunning as the pair’s dizzying wordplay. Directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett, a suited Juice WRLD and Cordae turn Jekyll and Hyde as they stumble down an office hallway with their faces seamlessly phasing into one another.
“Bring the house down on you hoes, Queen Latifah/ I’m too fast, gettin’ this cash/ Get in the way, get your brain bashed/ Chopper gon’ smash, hittin’ your face,” Juice raps on the song.

Cordae continues: “I’ma tie up, just like a shoe, my flow laced/ Y’all n-ggas so fake, wash your face in my showcase/ Fresher than Colgate, make hoes wait, I hold weight.”

As the video comes to a close, a behind the scenes clip pops up that shows Juice WRLD and Cordae in the studio recording the song. Juice shares his idea for the music video before the pair rap their lyrics into the camera.
“Let’s make a video to it,” he says. “Let me tell you my idea. So you know how I didn’t do XXL right? And you did do XXL. I wanna do a spoof XXL freestyle like how they be recording the group freestyles, but everybody that’s rapping, we gon’ be killing ’em.”
He adds: “I want it to be funny, gory, humor on some old Eminem video type shit.”
“Doomsday” serves as the first single off Cole Bennett’s upcoming Lyrical Lemonade album.
Following the release of “Doomsday,” Bennett took to Instagram to reveal the song was one of Juice WRLD’s favorites. “I have so many words, but I’ll save them for later,” he said. “I always wanted to bring this video to life for you. one of your favorites. doomsday out now. thank you cordae, thank you juice. LLJW.”
He added on Twitter: “I love you all so much. This video comes from a pure place.”
