Joyner Lucas has admitted that he was nearly brought to tears after Jelly Roll gave him his flowers publicly at a recent show.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday (December 10), Joyner shared a clip of Jelly showing him love from Boston’s Agganis Arena stage the night before.

“One of the coolest experiences in my life is seeing a guy that I’m a fan of standing beside the stage tonight,” Jelly can be seen saying in the clip. “My now brother and dear friend Mr. Joyner Lucas came to see me tonight, everybody! I love you, baby. Thank you so much. I’m so blessed to have you as a friend and a brother. Your presence here means a lot.”
He continued: “You have went on to do things they thought a kid from Boston would never be able to do. You have defied gravity. You have built a life for you and your family. You have broken generational curses and created generational wealth and you are arguably one of the greatest rappers that has ever done it so here’s to Joyner Lucas!”

In his caption, Joyner wrote: “[Prayer emoji] just wow…. @jellyroll615 almost made me cry no [cap]. thank you my dear brother for giving me [flowers] and for being such a good friend and human being.”
He finished the post with “2024” followed by music, rocket and eyeball emojis, possibly alluding to a collab on its way from the pair. You can view it below.
In addition to new music with Jelly Roll, Joyner Lucas may have new music with Will Smith on the way soon as well.
In an Instagram post in September, Joyner alluded to a joint project with the Fresh Prince as he shared a video of them in the studio.

As for Jelly Roll, he’s having quite the year and recently took home the coveted Best New Artist award at the 2023 Country Music Awards.
The Antioch, Tennessee-born singer — who started out his musical journey as a rapper — has been enjoying huge crossover success as a country-rocker, thanks to his hits “Save Me” and “Son of a Sinner.”

After breaking the record for longest reign on Billboard’s Emerging Artist chart in February, Jelly Roll racked up even more accolades in April when he took home three awards at the 2023 CMT Music Awards: Best Male Video, Best Breakthrough Male Video, and Digital-First Performance — all of which were for “Son of a Sinner.”
In June, he dropped his latest album, the country-leaning Whitsitt Chapel. It was accompanied by an ABC News documentary titled Jelly Roll: Save Me.
