Joey Bada$$ has said that he’s already deep into his next album, despite having just dropped off his third studio project last summer.
Joey was on Instagram Live and said while fans shouldn’t “get their hopes up,” he wanted them to know a new project was already in the works.

“Yes, I am actively knee-deep in working on my new album, and I’m trying to get it to y’all as soon as possible,” he said to the camera. “I ain’t gonna say no dates cause I don’t wanna let you motherfuckers down and get y’all hopes up but I am working on it.”
The Brooklyn native dropped off his third studio album 2000 last summer, which peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard 200 and included appearances from Diddy, Chris Brown, J.I.D, Westside Gunn, Larry June and others.
Joey most recently appeared as a guest on Ab-Soul’s Herbert album, as well as Logic’s College Park, which dropped on Friday (February 24). He also just dropped off the music video to his single “Show Me,” which features a cozy appearance from his rumored girlfriend Serayah.
Dating rumors between the singer and Pro Era leader first began a few days ago when they were seen cozying up together in a romantic photo shared to Instagram.
On February 26, Joey Bada$$ shared a picture on Instagram of him and Serayah sitting beside each other in a restaurant, with Joey offering nothing more than a black heart emoji as clarification.

“I love this for y’all serayah and joey is giving power couple,” one person wrote in the comments, while another added: “I just fell to my knees in Target.”
Serayah kept the rumors afloat after she revealed on Instagram Live that she was no longer dating actor Jacob Latimore.
“No I am not,” the 27-year-old said in response to a fan asking about the status of their relationship. “I’m not anymore. I am not, I am not, I am not.”
She continued in response to fans reacting to the break-up news: “I want y’all to be easy ‘cause let me say something. It’s so easy to get on a platform and start talking shit, so I’m just saying simmer down. That’s it.”
