After a social media post from Yachty’s co-host MitchGoneMad was read aloud, in which he “seemed to imply that Yachty might be putting that podcast in a Backwood as we speak,” Budden began laughing before playing Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust.”

He also referenced Drake‘s “Energy” by repeating the phrase, “Lickwood means rewind!” much to his co-hosts’ amusement.

MitchGoneMad’s post implying that A Safe Place was over came last month in response to a fan asking him to “please bring the podcast back.”

The media personality replied: “ngl i think bro rolling up that podcast in a backwood as we speak [skull emoji],” referring to Lil Yachty.

The podcast’s most recent episode, featuring special guest Key Glock, was released on August 21, shortly after Joe Budden himself appeared on the show.

Prior to this break, tensions between the co-hosts came to a head when Yachty confronted Mitch during the Key Glock episode for trying to offer the Memphis rapper career advice when he’s benefitted from a helping hand.

“Imagine if you didn’t have a friend who is already extremely successful to help you get on your feet. A lot of people don’t have that,” the Atlanta rap star said.

He added: “Remove me from this situation, I was never in your life — what the fuck would you have been doing?!”

Yachty responded on Instagram Live by explaining that he started A Safe Place partly to spotlight Mitch’s talents and was unhappy that his friend didn’t defend him over the backlash he faced for the segment.
