Jermaine Dupri has waded into the “big three” debate involving Kendrick Lamar, Drake and J. Cole by making a bold claim of his own.
The super producer rejected the premise that Kendrick, Drizzy and Cole are the so-called big three in Hip Hop and made a suggestion of his own.

Posting a picture of himself with Usher and songwriter/producer Bryan-Michael Cox, Dupri suggested they were the actual big three.
He captioned the Instagram post: “20 years later, the real BIG 3, celebrating Confessions (Fun Fact ) the iPhone didn’t even exist when we made this album.”
Usher’s Confessions album recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
On Saturday (March 23), the R&B legend shared a video montage on Instagram commemorating the milestone of his seminal project, which produced such hits as “Burn,” “Caught Up,” “Confessions II” and the diamond-certified “Yeah!”

“20 years ago today, we dropped the iconic Confessions album, which is now 14x Platinum. Making it the highest RIAA certified album by a male soloist released this century,” he captioned the post.
“The love and support from my Day 1s has been nothing short of incredible. Thank you for rocking with me through every lyric, every beat, and every confession.

Dupri and Cox were two of the main producers behind the album, creating the hits “Burn” and “Confessions Part II” together.
Meanwhile, the “big three” debate has been reignited in recent days thanks to Kendrick Lamar’s scathing guest verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”

Over a sample of Rodney O and Joe Cooley’s “Everlasting Bass” — which was also famously flipped by Three 6 Mafia — and Eazy E‘s “Eazy-Duz-It,” the Compton MC takes aim at Drake and J. Cole.
“Motherfuck the big three, n-gga, it’s just big me/ N-gga, bum/ What? I’m really like that/ And your best work is a light pack/ N-gga, Prince outlived Mike Jack,” he raps amid a flurry of jabs aimed at the “First Person Shooter” duo.

Drizzy has since seemingly responded, delivering a defiant speech to his haters during a tour stop in Florida on Sunday (March 24).
“A lot of people ask me how I’m feeling… I’ma let you know I’m feeling. Listen, the same way I’m feeling is the same way I want you to walk out this building tonight,” he said.

“I got my fucking head up high, my back straight, I’m 10 fucking toes down in Florida and anywhere else I go,” he added, his voice growing louder and more aggressive.
