JAY-Z has no shortage of trophies to his name, but this past weekend saw him cheering on a fellow serial winner in the world of soccer.
Hov was in attendance at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday (June 1) to watch Real Madrid take on Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League final, the biggest fixture in the European soccer calendar.

Madrid won 2-0 thanks to goals from veteran defender Dani Carvajal and Brazilian superstar Vinicius Jr., securing the Spanish giants their record 15th Champions League title.
Before kickoff, JAY-Z was seen dapping up Vini, who is signed to his Roc Nation Sports management company, while also waving to the crowd as he made his way down the touchline to his seat.

But Hov’s highlight of the night came after the final whistle when he posed for a selfie with the Real Madrid forward, who made sure to show off his newly-minted winner’s medal to the camera.
The pair were joined by several others in the photo including Jigga’s longtime friends and business partners “OG Juan” Perez and Jay Brown.
Vinicius Jr. joined Roc Nation Sports in July 2023 after the company acquired Brazilian soccer agency TFM Agency.

“In terms of football, Brazil is the center of it all,” Perez, president of Roc Nation Sports, said in a statement at the time.
“I strongly identify with a culture that has such an incredible passion for sport and music. Our influence in this game is growing and this move shows our intentions to the world.”

JAY-Z and Vinicius Jr. previously took a photo together in May 2023, which the soccer star captioned on social media: “LEGEND.”
Hov was reportedly interested in buying English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur last year after billionaire owner Joe Lewis was indicted on 16 counts of security fraud.
“More than a few of the very top clubs there — like Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea — are now under U.S. ownership and Jay would jump at the chance of a controlling interest at board level somewhere with the global reach of Spurs,” a source told Football365.
“It remains to be seen whether Mr. Lewis will walk away free. If he doesn’t, Jay has said he wants to be in a position to move quickly if he feels the price is right. He believes this is achievable, especially with the backing of fellow investors.”

Lewis later pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and two counts of securities fraud, admitting that he orchestrated an insider trading scheme that helped those around him make millions.
He avoided jail time, instead being sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $5 million.

JAY-Z didn’t end up buying Tottenham Hotspur and has yet to purchase an ownership stake in a major sports team since selling his stake in the Brooklyn Nets in 2013.
