JAY-Z has proven to be a bit particular when it comes to strangers invading his personal space, but one lucky fan got an unexpected reaction from the Brooklyn billionaire at a recent Beyoncé concert.
A TikTok user by the name of @eyezcosplay uploaded a video on Monday (July 10) capturing him stood just feet away from Hov at his wife’s Renaissance Tour stop in Toronto and reaching his hand out for a fist bump.

JAY-Z didn’t fulfill his request by dapping him up. Instead, he gave him something even better: the glass of (no doubt expensive) champagne he was holding in his hand.
“Okay, thank you!” the fan screamed out after flashing a shocked look into the camera.

“I went up to #jayz and asked for a simple Dap and he gave me his drink!!!!!” he wrote in his caption. “I was in disbelief and shaking afterwards!”
As if that wasn’t a night to remember already, the fan uploaded another video from the concert of Beyoncé wishing his mother a happy birthday in the middle of her performance.

The fan had brought a sign saying: “It’s my mom’s b-day!” to the show and held it up high while stood in the front row, which successfully caught Bey’s attention.

The fan’s bold move may have earned him a surprise gift, but another attendee had a very different interaction with JAY-Z at the same show.
A video that went viral earlier this week showed someone in the crowd filming the Roc Nation mogul as he did the electric slide with his mother, Gloria Carter, and others as Bey performed “Before I Let Go.”

After smoothly hitting his steps, Jigga turned around and caught the fan recording him, prompting him to subtly reprimand them by holding one finger up in their direction. That was enough to stop the fan in their tracks as they immediately put their phone away.
“Caught JAY-Z on 4K but then he caught me,” read the fan’s caption.
In an interview with TIDAL’s Elliott Wilson earlier this year, JAY-Z explained why he doesn’t like being filmed in today’s era of constant surveillance.
“We don’t come from that school. We come from the don’t-you-ever-record-us school. What was the line? ‘See me in shit you never saw/ If it wasn’t for these pictures you wouldn’t see me at all,'” he said, reciting lyrics from his 2013 song “Oceans.”

“We come from that school and we had fights over that. N-ggas trying to record — ‘Ayo, don’t record me, champ. I ain’t into that.’ We come from a different world.”
