Jamie Foxx has done one fan a sincere solid, coming to her aid by returning one of her most prized possessions.
According to TMZ, the Ray actor, who has been recovering in Chicago from an unknown medical emergency, was captured on film recovering a woman’s lost handbag and managed to track the group down as they explored downtown on a pedicab.

“Thank you, Jamie,” the woman can be heard saying in disbelief as Foxx hops out of his SUV to hand over the goods. “Oh my God,” she continued before joking that she should have snapped a picture with the 55-year-old singer-actor before he sped away.

Foxx’s heroic act comes on the heels of the entertainer making his first public appearance in months, after struggling with health issues.
On Sunday (July 9), the actor, comedian and singer posted on Twitter for the first time in almost four months. He wrote: “Boat life [fox emoji] Celebrating summer with @brownsugarbbn [Brown Sugar Bourbon] Stay blessed!”

Additionally, TMZ obtained footage of the 55-year-old entertainer waving at a crowd from his yacht as they cheered him on. The video was taken on the Chicago River on the same day as the above tweet.
On Monday (July 10), Foxx headed to the burbs of ChiTown to the town of Naperville, Illinois, where he worked on his swing at a local TopGolf. TMZ reports that the driving range Foxx visited is within close proximity to the rehab facility where he’s been recuperating from his medical emergency.
In April, the Academy Award-winner’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, issued a statement announcing that her father had experienced a “medical complication.” While she didn’t share any more details, TMZ reported that Foxx’s condition was serious enough that he had to be taken to the hospital.
Fortunately, Corinne added that her father was “already on his way to recovery” thanks to “quick action and great care.”
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” her statement continued. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Following weeks of hospitalization and receiving encouragement from friends and fans alike, Foxx took to Instagram in early May to express his gratitude for all the support.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he wrote in the social media post.
