Jack Harlow may have grown up in the same stomping grounds as one of Hollywood’s elite screen stars, but according to the Hunger Games alum, this was news to her.
During a recent episode of Chicken Shop Date — featuring Jennifer Lawrence — the actress was stunned to learn how she and the rapper both hail from Louisville, Kentucky.

“Really? He’s from Kentucky?” Lawrence, said in disbelief, as host Amelia Dimoldenberg, went on to explain it was indeed fact, not a myth.
“I’m from Louisville. There is no way Jack Harlow is from Louisville, Kentucky,” Lawrence replied, to which Dimoldenberg suggested, “I thought you would know, and be friends.”

“I mean, I’m totally down to be friends,” revealed Lawrence. Adding how much she “liked” the “clip that went viral with him and Emma Chamberlain.” In the viral interview, the “Industry Baby” star and YouTube sensation had an awkward interaction at the 2022 Met Gala on the red carpet, where they exchanged I love yous.
“Sorry. I’m reapplying my makeup,” began Chamberlain as Missionary Jack threw her a compliment. “You did a great job,” he said, before drawing attention to his “Givenchy” suit.
“Did you have any freak-out today? Did you have like a moment today where you’re like actually I might like — maybe I’m freaked out?” Chamberlain queried. To which Harlow inquired, “Did you?” And, only after the hostess confessed she “for sure” did have a moment of panic, did the “First Class” rapper show a united front. “Okay, then yes,” he responded.
The duo quickly parted ways by saying “I love you” as Chamberlain turned away and gasped.
Fast forward to last week and Harlow would find himself in yet another perplexing situation during a show in Paris.

The Jackman rapper was performing as part of Global Citizen’s Power Our Planet concert and was hoping to excite the crowd by having them rap the opening lyrics from his chart-topping smash “First Class,” but to no avail. Instead, Harlow was met with a thick wave of desolate silence, so he just decided to dive into the track. Luckily, the crowd seemed to come back to life once the track dropped.
“First Class” snagged the No. 1 spot for the first time on the U.S. charts last April. Built on Fergie and Ludacris’s 2006 hit “Glamorous,” the track made big waves on TikTok and earned over 420,000 sales in its opening week, along with 54.6 million streams. The achievement marked the biggest streaming debut for a song since Drake, Future and Young Thug’s “Way 2 Sexy” in September 2021.
