The All Money In rapper shared footage of the recording process of Rollin Stone on Instagram, showing DJ Drama laying down an a capella verse that earned the approval of Generation Now co-founder Leighton Morrison and fellow All Money In rapper Cuzzy Capone, who was also in the studio.
“Slauson boy shit, that shit started with Nip / 25/8 mindstate no breaks, n-ggas could never relate, check the tapes,” Drama rapped.
Stone shared another post hours after the mixtape’s release celebrating it climbing to the No. 4 spot on the iTunes Hip Hop/Rap Albums chart.
“We just getting started Press Play… Asap! #GangstaGrillz,” the Nipsey Hussle affiliate wrote in the caption.
Rollin Stone follows J. Stone’s The Definition of Sacrifice, which was released in June 2022. That album completed Stone’s Definition series that began in 2019 with the first entry, The Definition of Loyalty. The second installment, The Definition of Pain, was released in 2020.
DJ Drama, on the other hand, is continuing his prolific Gangsta Grillz run with this latest entry. The Philly native has resurrected the series in recent years with several high-profile releases from the likes of Tyler, The Creator, J. Cole and Dreamville, Jeezy, Snoop Dogg, Jim Jones, Dave East, Symba and more.

In an interview with HipHopDX in November, Mr. Thanksgiving spoke about bringing Gangsta Grillz back, as well as his Snofall collaboration with Jeezy.
“I’m thankful for the resurgence of Gangsta Grillz and the numerous projects that I’ve done this year,” he said. “I don’t even want to start naming them because I don’t want to forget any. But you know, the Jeezy Snofall is quite the talk of the town.
“The feeling that we restored together, the combination between me and Jeezy and what we brought to the game, and to be here 17 years later putting out a monster project that people are really appreciating and really talking about, I’m thankful for that day.”
Drama is also working on a new solo album called I’m Really Like That, which is expected to feature heavy hitters like Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Gucci Mane, Offset, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch, Jack Harlow, Freddie Gibbs, Doe Boy and more.
