LL Cool J has signed on for a spinoff of the popular CBS show “NCIS.” As DX reported earlier this month, the Queens-bred Hip Hop icon was in negotiations to take the part of Sam Hanna, an ex-Navy SEAL [click to read]. Variety reports that LL will begin his role when the spinoff airs later this season as a two-part episode of “NCIS.”

In other news, an unnamed, inside source tells the New York Daily News that embattled R&B star Chris Brown is reportedly taking anger management classes. After being arrested for making criminal threats and assaulting a woman, who is believed to be Pop singer Rihanna, Brown is facing a March 5 court date [click to read].

Chris doesn’t actually have to go by law,” the source tells the Daily News. “But he believes it will make him look better to the public, and he wants to try to get in a few classes before his court date.”

After having a handful of radio stations ban his music and losing both his Wrigley‘s and Milk Mustache sponsorships, Brown‘s future popularity seems uncertain. In the meantime, Steve Stoute, who helped Brown secure the Wrigley‘s sponsorship [click to read], is reserving judgment.
