After the success of last year’s third annual Paid Dues festival [click to read], Murs [click to read] and Guerilla Union are gearing up for the latest installment of their annual Hip Hop event. The series has always proven to be a showcase for critically acclaimed independent acts who manage to garner their share of commercial success, and the 2008 edition looks to uphold the tradition.

“This year’s Paid Dues line-up is very special to me because we have acts like Tech N9ne and Atmosphere, who I’ve been big
fans of and also trying to book forever,”
Murs stated via press release. “The show also marks the So-Cal return of [Eyedea & Abilities], who haven’t played the NOS since the legendary Wu-Tang reunion at the 2004 Rock The Bells.”

The 2009 Paid Dues lineup features performances from Atmosphere, Tech N9ne, Living Legends, Brother Ali, B-Real, Grouch & Eligh, Cage, Blu, Exile, Eyedea & Abilities, LMNO, DJ Val the Vandal, and Verbs and the Bayliens. The event will be hosted by 2Mex.

Paid Dues is an all-ages show, with the festival set to kick off at NOS Events Center in San Bernadino, California. The Guerilla Union ticket pre-sale will begin on Wednesday, January 28 for registered members. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster online and at all locations
starting Saturday, January 31.
