With his latest album, Theater of the Mind, just days away from release, Ludacris is feeling slightly underrated when it comes to lyrical skill.
“As far as lyricism is concerned, I do feel like I’m a little underrated,” the ATL rapper told BET.com. “I think that this album is out to prove exactly that point. I feel like that there are certain places in the top 5 or the top 10 that I need to be.”
With five additional studio albums under his belt, a record label, and a budding acting career, Luda still wants to prove that he’s hungry when it comes to Hip Hop music.
“I’m letting everyone know that I’m still as hungry as day one, even though this is album number six.”

When discussing Hip Hop beefs, Ludacris offers his wishes to see the Diplomats reconcile and start recording again.
“I kind of want to see Jim Jones, Cam’ron and Juelz Santana all back together. That dipset. I don’t know if its beef because they all went their separate ways but I’d like to see them back together. That’s coming from me all day.”
Theater of the Mind hits shelves Tuesday, November 24 and features appearances from TI, Chris Rock, Common, Spike Lee and more.
