Redman has revealed he’s now a licensed skydiver after passing his written exam and completing 27 practical lessons.
The New Jersey rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday (September 6) to share a video of himself jumping out of a plane and flying through the skies at Skydive Spaceland Houston, while thanking his instructor and the rest of the team for their support on his journey to qualification.

“I worked HARD for this !! 27 JUMPS and Studied Hard for my Written Exam and Passed TODAY !!” he wrote. “I’m an OFFICIAL A LICENSED SKYDIVER. I’m WILDING IN THE SKIES. Thank You @skydivespaceland_houston For the Experience.”
He continued: “PEDRO your an Excellent Instructor Bro.The Whole SpaceLand Team Thank you..I will See you guys Next time. @skydivesussex Thank you For The Start and Opportunity,I will Be back Jumping In NJ In another Week. GET SUM !!”
Many of Redman’s rap peers congratulated him in the comments section, with Ja Rule revealing he’s already had some skydiving experience himself: “Dope I got 23 jumps to go lol… congrats.”
Busta Rhymes also shared some crown emojis, while The LOX’s Sheek Louch added: “WOW CONGRATS KING.”

Redman released his new single “So Cool” in July as the first taste of Muddy Waters 2, the sequel to his 1996 album. During an interview with HipHopDX in 2020, he revealed the project was finished but the COVID-19 pandemic was stopping it from being released.
“You have to understand that I’m a self-contained artist,” he said at the time. “That means I engineer everything right here in my house that I’m talking from. I engineer, I write the music and I mix in my house. What I learned from Def Jam — because I’m a Def Jam baby — I learned all my tutelage on how to put out music through Def Jam.

“The only thing now that’s missing is me having a date and me rushing when they want me to put it out. I’m able to move on my own time. Last time I talked to you, I thought I was ready, but I wasn’t. A couple of months ago, I knew I was ready to put the album out, but COVID hit. I’m like, ‘I want to be able to be out there to promote the album, not sit from a couch doing interviews.’”
