Around 2:40 p.m. local time, TSA screeners discovered a plastic bag filled with a “green leafy substance,” which he admitted was weed. Officers weighed the bag once on the scene and determined he was in possession of the substance weighed 6.12 ounces.
Shumpert also tested positive for marijuana using a mobile test. He was placed in handcuffs and transported to a nearby jail “without incident.”
Cops claim Shumpert was also caught with a Glock magazine and 14 9mm rounds in his bag but no gun. The charge is classified as a “State Jail Felony.” If convicted, Shumpert could face up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert tied the knot back in October 2016 and have two children together. They’ve routinely made headlines for their unconventional relationship. In January 2019, rumors that Shumpert had impregnated one of their threesome partners started making the rounds. The chatter intensified after Taylor deleted her Instagram page, which many assumed was because she was fuming over the alleged pregnancy.
But Taylor quickly squashed the rumors with a tweet that read: “1. I’ve never seen/touched that girl in my life. 2. My page is gone because I’m upset at @defjam for not dropping my damn ‘WTP’ video on time, per usual. 3. It’s really sad that lies are entertained so much than the truth. 4. Iman is not dumb he know I’d kill him.”
Despite the couple’s affinity for the occasional ménage à trois, they appear to be a solid family unit. In fact, Shumpert was mostly concerned he would miss a visit with his daughter due to the airport snafu. The little girl, named Rue Rose, was born in September 2020 and delivered by Erykah Badu on the couple’s bathroom floor.
Badu shared an Instagram post welcoming Rue to the world: “Now that Rue Rose is here, time to charge up some baby shirts — let’s go. I remember reading that Emoto said that human consciousness could affect the molecular structure of water. The intention could change the cellular patterns.

“Why not with words on shirts? Turning the shirt inside out and writing a message of calmness or peace or healing could do the same thing. I imagine that the cells mimic the intent of words, so I decided to charge it even more with the sunlight and crystals.”
