Jack Harlow has been given the ultimate compliment by boxer Ryan Garcia, who has crowned the Generation Now rapper “the new Kanye” West.
“Jack Harlow the new Kanye,” the sports superstar tweeted on Thursday (July 28).
Critics immediately flooded Garcia’s mentions for even having the thought of making the grand comparison between Harlow and one of Hip Hop’s greats.
“You bout 3-5 tweets away from getting muted dawg,” one person responded.
Another clowned the Louisville native’s “First Class” No. 1 hit, “idk how does this reminds you of Kanye west.”
“When I listen to Jack Harlow’s bars in his songs it reminds me of Kanye west back in the day, he has catchy bars, why the overreacting,” he explained.
The undefeated boxer finished off the discussion by fittingly using lyrics from Jack Harlow’s “First Class” anthem as a message to his haters.
“You don’t need Givenchy, you need Jesus,” he wrote.
There’s more crossover between Kanye West and Harlow than one might think. Yeezy gave the Generation Now spitter his stamp of approval in February after the release of “Nail Tech” where Kanye dubbed Harlow to be “Top 5” in the rap game right now.
“This nigga can raaaaaaap bro And I’m saying nigga as a compliment Top 5 out right now,” Ye wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.
With Kanye being one of Harlow’s rap idols, the heartwarming compliment meant a great deal and he called it “one of the greatest moments” of his life to date.
“This right here…is one of the greatest moments of my entire life,” he wrote. “Glad y’all all get front row seats to it…suddenly all the hate means nothing…imagine your hero saying this about you…I could cry.”
