Maxo Kream has released a new song called “The Vision,” marking his first collaboration with Anderson .Paak — listen to it below.
Over plodding production from Teej that evokes the ’90s flavor of his native Houston, Maxo “boasts and brags” about his wardrobe, weapons and women, sprinkling his internal rhyming flow and sense of humor throughout his verse.
“Traphouse schemin,’ triple beamin’/Head to Neiman’s, coppin’ shoes/Promethazine and Codeine dreamin’, leanin’ like fat n-gga shoes,” he raps.
.Paak, meanwhile, soaks up the Texas influence by singing about “candy drop on big rims” on the chorus in his familiar raspy delivery.
Maxo Kream also shared a video on Instagram showing him and Anderson. Paak in the studio cooking up and vibing out to the song.

“Fucc it‼️ I’m just gonna keep droppin. Me and @anderson._paak out now,” he captioned the clip.
“The Vision” will appear on Maxo Kream’s upcoming Weight of the World deluxe edition, due out July 27. The expanded version features six new songs, including the previously released “Jigga Dame” and “Football Heads” featuring Benny The Butcher.
The Roc Nation signee released a video for the latter just last week, bringing the football-related drug metaphor to life in trippy fashion.
Weight of the World originally dropped in October 2021 and boasted appearances from A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, Freddie Gibbs and Don Toliver, as well as production from the likes of Hit-Boy, Cardo and DJ Dahi. HipHopDX gave the album a 4.3 out of 5 score, calling it Maxo Kream’s “masterpiece.”

Anderson .Paak, meanwhile, is riding high off the success of his An Evening With Silk Sonic album with Bruno Mars, which yielded four wins at the 2022 Grammy Awards in April. He’s currently working on his directorial debut, a drama-comedy called K-POPS! starring himself and his 7-year-old son Soul Rasheed.
