Making a list of artists that are most likely to have fans fighting in the stands, Erykah Badu would probably rank toward the bottom. That wasn’t the case earlier this week when an all-out brawl took place in the crowd at the neo-soul icon’s concert.
While performing 2010’s “Window Seat,” Badu asks the crowd how they’re feeling and then the camera pans to the audience with three individuals exchanging blows inside the auditorium.
One girl looks to clearly be winning the fight in the video while the loser’s friend tagged in WWE-style to help before security finally broke up the melee.
“Wow @jamespoyser……our music finally starts a riot,” Questlove joked on Twitter to one of the hit’s co-producers.

It’s unclear where exactly the scuffle took place, but Erykah Badu has been on a festival run across Europe with dates in England, Amsterdam and an upcoming festival left in Switzerland slated for next week. She returns to the U.S. next month with a performance at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on August 5.
The melancholic track served as the lead single from Badu’s New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) album in 2010. The James Poyser-produced tune received a remix featuring a verse from Rick Ross and went on to peak at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
