Ludacris is set to be honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year. The 44-year-old rapper/actor was named among the 2023 recipients, which were announced by radio personality Ellen K, the chair of the Chamber’s Walk of Fame selection panel, on Friday (June 17).
Ludacris, who was actually named in the category of motion pictures, is one of nine musicians on the list alongside the likes of Charlie Wilson, Lenny Kravitz and Sheila E. Martin Lawrence, Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau, Garrett Morris and Luda’s late 2 Fast 2 Furious co-star Paul Walker will also receive a star.
“Hey Momma, Your Son Is Being Selected To Receive a STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame In 2023,” the Disturbing Tha Peace founder wrote on Instagram while celebrating the news. “GOD IS THE GREATEST.”
After getting his start as a DJ on Atlanta radio under the name Chris Lova Lova in the ’90s, Ludacris reinvented himself as a rapper and established himself as one of Hip Hop’s most colorful personalities with albums like Back for the First Time, Word of Mouf and Chicken-n-Beer.

It was during this rise to fame that Luda carved out an equally successful career in acting, starring in movies such as Crash, Hustle & Flow and, of course, the Fast & Furious franchise. He joins other rap acts including Snoop Dogg, Diddy, 50 Cent, Ice Cube and DJ Khaled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Ludacris’ looming Hollywood Walk of Fame star is just the latest feather in his cap. In May, he received an honorary bachelor’s degree in Music Management from Georgia State University, which he attended in the late ’90s before his music career took off.
The “Southern Hospitality” lyricist, who is currently busy filming Fast X, rewarded himself by splashing the cash on a brand new private jet. “Bought Myself A Little Graduation Gift,” he wrote on Instagram while his giving followers a tour of the luxury aircraft.
