Migos fans woke up to disappointment on Tuesday (June 7) morning when New York City’s Governors Ball Music Festival announced the Atlanta trio would be pulling out of the event.
“Due to circumstances out of our control Migos are no longer performing at Gov Ball,” the festival tweeted out. “Updated lineup coming soon.”
Mere moments later the festival tweeted out that Lil Wayne would serve as Migos’ replacement, which is a solid replacement but did little to quell fans’ suspicions about a possible rift among the “Bad & Boujee” three-piece.
Rumors of bad blood between the three rappers emerged after fans noticed Offset and his wife Cardi B had unfollowed Quavo and Takeoff on social media. The latter pair also then dropped a new single called “Hotel Lobby” under the name Unc and Phew, referring to their familial ties, which further fueled rumors about a potential breakup.

Taking place between June 10 and June 12, the 2022 edition of New York’s Governors Ball will boast two Hip Hop headlining sets from J. Cole and Kid Cudi. Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, YG, Jack Harlow, Coi Leray, Kaytranada, Denzel Curry, JID, Skepta, Jazmine Sullivan, Ken Car$on and JPEGMAFIA are also slated to perform.
