Getting to lock in with Pharrell Williams in the studio is an opportunity that not many rappers can say they’ve crossed off their bucket list. Jack Harlow was one of the lucky few to get some studio time, and a feature on his upcoming album, Come Home the Kids Miss You.
On Wednesday (May 4), the “First Class” rapper took to his Instagram with footage of that coveted studio time he got with Pharrell, and it’s safe to say both parties thoroughly enjoyed the magic they were able to create. In the clip, Harlow seems to have finished recording his verse as he cracked a smile when Pharrell clapped it up for him.
“This is history,” Pharrell said to the camera. “I love everything we did, but this one here?”
According to the tracklist that Jack Harlow dropped earlier this week, the Pharrell collaboration is titled “Movie Star.” Along with the legendary producer, Jack has Drake, Lil Wayne and Justin Timberlake featured on the album. Come Home the Kids Miss You will arrive on Friday (May 6), and there are a lot of expectations going into it following Jack securing his first solo No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit with “First Class.”

Despite how excited he must be, Jack Harlow felt a little upset about his Drake collaboration, “Churchill Downs,” leaking weeks before the album’s official release. He explained during an interview with Hot 97 on May 3 how much the leak hurt his feelings and explained Drake was not happy about it either.
“[Drake] was sad too,” Harlow said. “He kind of, you know, nudged me like, ‘Aye, don’t trip. This what was meant to happen.’ I think his experience, he let me know like, ‘You think this is gonna affect your life? Like, it’s fine.'”
He added, “I felt the energy shift after [hanging out with Drake], for sure. Or when you do an interview, they gon’ bring it up.”
