Akademiks has stood by 6ix9ine through thick and thin. Even after 6ix9ine became the federal government’s star witness in the case against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, the former Everyday Struggle co-host remained loyal to the inflammatory rapper. But apparently, even Akademiks has a threshold for 6ix9ine’s antics.
On Wednesday (April 27), Akademiks addressed 6ix9ine’s latest stunt in which he supposedly tricked the Lil Durk look-alike — also known as Perkio — to meet up with him for a video shoot. In the clip of their interaction, 6ix9ine appears to pressure Perkio to put on a jacket with the late King Von on the back. YouTube personality Stephen Deleonardis, better known as Steve Will Do It, was also roped into the shenanigans, something Akademiks thought was unnecessary.
“If you wanna kill Durk, go kill Durk. Don’t put nobody else if your fuckin’ beef,” he said on Instagram Live. “Get out of here, it’s not cool. Don’t put SteveWillDoIt in it. Don’t put Akademiks in it. Don’t put nobody in your fucking beef […] Durk is on tour. If you want to see Durk, go get Durk. Don’t pull up on Perkio. Don’t pull up on some other weird n-ggas. Pull up on Durk.”
He added, “I’ve repeatedly said to 6ix9ine, ‘I don’t know what your issue is with Lil Durk.’ Man, him and Lil Durk never seen each other in life, you feel me? They never ever saw each other. Like, this is a make-believe beef.”

6ix9ine has been taunting Lil Durk for years, even before King Von was shot and killed in November 2020. Last June, 6ix9ine said he wanted to take on both Blueface and Lil Durk in a professional setting, shortly after Blue announced he’d joined the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
“The only time people talk about Blueface is when he’s not doing music, so I don’t know what the fuck you talking about,” he said at the time. “Like who the fuck is Blueface? Right now, I swear to my mom, I got $20,000 in my pocket I walk around with. He’s gonna pay $25,000 to fight. I walk around with the money he’s getting paid for. What the fuck you talkin’ bout?”
He added, “You get Lil Durk in the ring right now, I’m eating him alive. I will violate him on King Von’s grave. He’s gonna hit me with the bitch ass shit he’s doing now — nothing. He gonna hit me with the, ‘Yo, you making it hot right now, bro. Chill, chill [laughs].’”

Of course, the fight never came to fruition, but that doesn’t mean 6ix9ine hasn’t continued to push for one. In July 2021, Wack 100 initiated a conversation with 6ix9ine, claiming he wanted “answers.” With the help of Akademiks, the meet-up took place in Miami as the inaugural episode of Ak’s podcast Off The Record.
In a clip of the nearly three-hour discussion, the Brooklyn native asked Wack 100 to set up a fight with Durk. “Before you leave Miami, you call Durk and get him in the same room as me, make it happen,” he screamed. “You got the phone right there,” to which Wack replied, “And what? I can make that call. You wanna head on with Durk? Look me in the face.”
