Drakeo The Ruler was tragically killed backstage when he was stabbed to death at the Once Upon a Time Festival in L.A. on December 19 at the age of 28.

Nearly four months to the day of his murder, the fallen West Coast rapper’s first posthumous verse landed on fellow Stinc Team member and Drakeo’s brother Ralfy The Plug’s “Fantastic,” which dropped on Sunday night (April 17).

The Ruler sets the tone with a sentimental chorus and opening verse utilizing his signature raspy whisper flow.

“It get lonely at the top don’t it?/27, mansion and three cars in eight months oh shit/But how much jewelry? $600,000 without the AP and these five bracelets/Gambling I donated about $200,000/Wack jumper in real life, you ball in 2K,” he raps.

Drakeo — born Darrell Caldwell — was laid to rest by his friends and family in his hometown of Los Angeles on February 15. The open-casket funeral was held at Greater Emmanuel Temple Church in Lynwood, not far from the South Los Angeles community where he grew up.
