New York, NY

6ix9ine returned from his hibernation last week to announce he’d be releasing new music come April 15 and declared the King of New York throne to be his once again.

Fivio Foreign took issue with Tekashi’s claims by subliminally taking a shot at the rainbow-haired rapper while posting his NYC accomplishments on the heels of releasing his B.I.B.L.E. debut album on April 8.

“5 Billboards in Times Square, Top 5 songs in NY on Apple at once, & articles in both Daily News & NY Times.. Don’t ever let that nigga say he the King Of this city,” the Brooklyn drill rapper wrote to Twitter on April 9.

Looking to stir the pot, DJ Akademiks reposted Fivio’s tweet on Instagram and 6ix9ine flocked to the comments section to chime in while dissing the late Fivio Foreign affiliate Tdott Woo.

“Didn’t his best friend just get shot in his head a month ago?” 6ix9ine wrote. “He worried about billboards in Times Square….”

Tdott Woo — who created the signature Woo Walk — was shot on February 1 in Canarsie near the intersection of East 98th Street and Avenue L and transported to Brookdale Hospital where he died.

However, Fivio did respond in an interview with Complexwhere he downplayed the idea of wearing the crown of NYC with his eyes on a bigger prize.

“I feel like it don’t matter,” Fivio said. “It totally don’t matter. Some boy’s going to claim that shit, but it don’t matter. That’s not the goal I’m trying to reach. You’re the King of New York? Well, I’m trying to be the King of the World.”

After about a year of laying low, 6ix9ine is set to make his return to the rap scene on April 15 with a new single.

“I hope everybody enjoyed there 15 minutes,” he captioned the post. “THE DEMON IS BACK APRIL 15TH. I’m THE BEAST they couldn’t contain. The industry most hated animal. APRIL 15th the KING OF NEW YORK IS COMING BACK. I’m going back home.”

It looks as if the Brooklyn complex where 6ix9ine shot the video to his upcoming single has been vandalized with people spraypainting the building calling him a “rat.”
