Some people will do anything for viral fame, especially if it’s jumping on the bandwagon of a big moment. But anybody thinking about running up on Wiz Khalifa and giving him the Will Smith smack (to quote fellow rap stoner Kid Cudi) ought to reconsider.
As The Fresh Prince slapping Chris Rock in the face at the 2022 Oscars last weekend continued to fuel heated debates and hilarious memes, the Taylor Gang chief held a premiere party for his brand new HipHopDX-produced documentary Still Rolling Papers in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (March 29).
Attendees at the premiere included Ty Dolla $ign, DJ Whoo Kid, Chevy Woods and more Taylor Gang members as they all celebrated Wiz’s career and accomplishments along with the documentary’s release.
While addressing the audience on stage, Wiz Khalifa issued a clear warning to anybody who may have gotten ideas after watching Will Smith silence Chris Rock for poking fun at his wife Jada Pinkett’s alopecia.

“Thank y’all for coming out. If anybody tries to walk up here and slap me, you will get shot,” he deadpanned as the room erupted into laughter. “I’m just letting you know right now.”
“Breeze keep the blicky,” he joked in his Instagram caption of the clip, referencing his sturdy security guard who’s been known to keep rowdy Wiz fans in check.
Wiz Khalifa probably doesn’t even need to rely on an armed bodyguard to keep him safe. Despite his sinewy frame, the Pittsburgh native has dedicated himself to mixed martial arts over the last few years and even fancies himself as a professional fighter if it wasn’t for music.
NFL analyst and gym owner Jay Glazer would agree. “Let me tell you something: I’ve been hit in the body by Chuck [Liddell], Randy [Coutoure], Kyle Long — I mean, the biggest, baddest dudes in the planet,” he told TMZ Sports in 2018. “Wiz is the only dude who’s hurt me with a body shot! … His work ethic is ridiculous.”

Wiz is far from the only rapper to have weighed in on Will Smith’s infamous Oscars slap. 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Diddy, Nicki Minaj and The Game have also shared their unfiltered thoughts on the altercation, with the latter slamming the Academy for reportedly disciplining the Men In Black actor.
Produced by HipHopDX, Still Rolling Papers chronicles Wiz Khalifa’s journey from hometown hero to global superstar. Featuring exclusive interviews with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Curren$y and, of course, Taylor Allderdice himself, the 30-minute documentary explores Wiz’s come-up in Pittsburgh, his breakout hit “Black & Yellow” and the making of his 2011 debut album Rolling Papers.
“10 years sounds like a lot but it don’t feel like that much it still feels fresh,” Wiz says in the film’s opening scene. “It still feels good. For me, it’s when I look back at the footage. ‘Cause I’m always in it when I’m there, but when I look back I’m like, ‘Whoa, we did some magnificent shit, for real.'”
