G Perico may have just cheated death.
In an Instagram post on Sunday (February 20), the Los Angeles rapper shared a short video revealing he chipped his tooth and bounced his head off the windshield of his old-school Chevy in an accident earlier in the evening. As G Perico wiped the blood from his face, the cameraman panned the frame to his totaled 1987 SS Monte Carlo Aerocoupe, which the Tango rapper promised would be re-restored by the summertime in the caption of the post.
“God damn, man they blew me out,” G Perico said in the video. “Some muthafucka’s swerved in front of me. They don’t want to see greatness. Aye, guess what, we still going to make the summertime though.”
Several of G Perico’s West Coast OG’s and rap peers checked in with him in the comment section of the video to express their relief he walked away from the terrible accident.

“Stay safe young loc,” Snoop Dogg wrote while Curren$y added, “Replaceable things G shit don’t stop.”
The 87 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe, nicknamed the “Bubbleback” for its rounded rear windshield and aerodynamic lines, is a rare stock car racing classic that was originally launched by Chevrolet in 1985 with a carbureted 5.0-liter V-8 engine. According to vintage automotive outfit Hemmings, only 6,252 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupes were built between 1986 and 1987 model years, with the vast majority being produced in 1987.
G Perico actually showed off his fully restored Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe in the video for “Long Year” featuring BlocBoi Fame earlier this month.
Before his car crash, G Perico started the month of February with a head of steam following the release of his eight-song Tango album, which serves as the follow-up to his 2021 Play 2 Win album.
