Gunna’sDS4EVER is officially out, and while the YSL signee’s dig at Freddie Gibbs has the internet talking, 21 Savage used Kanye’s recent divorce from Kim Kardashian as inspiration for some clever bars for the album’s sixth track “thought i was playing.”
“SF90 cost a M, dumped his Glock like Ye did Kim, here sippin’ on pimp juice, watch my brim,” the 29-year-old rapped.
Gunna’s 20-track project featured a wide range of contributors from Young Thug, Future, BLEU, 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, G Herbo and the 28-year-old’s rumored girlfriend Chlöe Bailey.
The YSL Records signee also used the album to reignite a feud with former adversary Freddie Gibbs. In 2020, the Indiana rapper subliminally called Gunna a snitch after a video surfaced of him appearing on what was speculated to be an episode of Crime Stoppers.

As shown by Gunna’s bars on “Poochie Gown,” the rapper hasn’t forgiven Gibbs for his transgressions. “I can’t fuck with Freddie Gibbs,” he rapped on the track. Before the song dropped on Friday (January 7), Gunna said on Twitter on Thursday (January 6) that his name drop of the Alfredo rapper would be the biggest moment of Gibbs career.
“I’m the hot topic right now these n-ggaz need me to push the project.
It didn’t take long for DJ Akademiks to get involved. He tweeted a brief 5-second clip of the Indiana rapper getting name-dropped by Gunna on what would later be revealed as “Poochie Gown.” “This 5 seconds hotter than anything FEDERICK Gibbs ever released in his life,” Akademiks wrote alongside the video.
As for 21 Savage, he hasn’t been embroiled in any feuds lately, but he did close out 2021 by dropping two new tracks called “No Debate” and “Big Smoke.”

While 21 Savage hasn’t released a solo record since i am > i was in 2018, the Atlanta rapper was hard at work in 2021, appearing on a slew of massive records that included features with J. Cole, Drake, DJ Khaled and Nardo Wick.
A lot of his collaborations were massive chart-toppers in 2021 too. J. Cole’s “My Life” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance at the 2022 Grammys. Drake’s “Knife Talk,” which featured 21 and Project Pat, also reached No. 4 on the Hot 100 with 200 million Spotify streams.
