Thanks to Jack Harlow, an officer involved in an altercation with a female concertgoer at one of his recent shows in Atlanta is now under investigation.

According to a statement from Cobb County police department obtained by TMZ on Thursday (December 30), the video Jack Harlow posted to his Instagram last Tuesday of a young black woman being grabbed by the throat by an officer has sparked a full internal review of the incident for officer misconduct.

“The Cobb County Police Department takes any and all allegations of officer misconduct very seriously,” a spokesperson for Cobb County PD said. “We are aware of the video snippet posted to Instagram involving our officer and a young woman outside the Coca-Cola Roxy. The incident is going through an internal review to get a full understanding of the entire incident before any potential action is taken.”

While the investigation signals some sort of progress, Jack Harlow initially called for the swift firing of the officer in the video in his post, expressing how important it was for him to support women, especially black women, as fiercely as they support him.

“I look out in the crowd every night and see black women in my front row,” Harlow wrote in part in the lengthy message. “Screaming my lyrics, traveling to see me, supporting me, riding for me. I want this woman, and every black woman that supports me to know – I am so sorry. I want you to be protected and I want this guy to lose his job so fucking fast.”

It’s almost no surprise that Jack Harlow is going so hard for this young woman considering how much he values the connection he has with his fans.

Back in November, he recognized one of his day-one fans during his Crème de la Crème Tour stop in Alabama and even brought him backstage for a photo-op and genuine link-up.
