As Gunna gears up to release the fourth and final installment in his Drip Season series, the rapper not only unveiled the tracklist on social media on Wednesday (January 5) but reignited a feud with former nemesis Freddie Gibbs in the process.

Guna revealed Drip Season 4 will have 20 tracks and will feature a wide range of contributions from Young Thug, Future, BLEU, 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, G Herbo and the 28-year-old’s rumored girlfriend Chlöe Bailey.

As the tracklist made the rounds across social media, the YSL Records signee used the opportunity to reignite a feud with former foe Freddie Gibbs. Back in 2020, Freddie Gibbs subliminally called Gunna a snitch after video surfaced of the latter appearing on what was speculated to be an episode of Crime Stoppers. It was a speculation Gunna firmly denied in an interview with The Breakfast Club.

“Yes, that’s me, but that wasn’t on no crime stopper,” Gunna said at the time. “I don’t know what the hell niggas are [saying], ’cause I wasn’t in no case or nothing. … ‘Oh you snitched on who?’ I was never in no case.”

Well, Gunna hit up his old foe on Twitter on Wednesday, saying when DS4 drops it would be “the biggest moment” of Freddie Gibbs career, implying Gibbs was mentioned on the project.

Gibbs was quick to retaliate.

“I’m the hot topic right now these n-ggaz need me to push the project.  I get it,” he wrote. “U can say U sold more records got more money but I ain’t never been on crime stoppers. Fin.”

It didn’t take long for DJ Akademiks to get involved. He tweeted a brief 5-second clip of the Indiana rapper getting name-dropped by Gunna on a new track. “This 5 seconds hotter than anything FEDERICK Gibbs ever released in his life,” Akademiks wrote alongside the video.

“Damn that was it?” Gibbs replied, plugging in his own album. “I thought fam was gon gimme some bars.  Let’s go #SSS.”

In closing, Gibbs said he loved Gunna’s music. “I think he one of the best making music so to be recognized by one of the best is a blessing,” he tweeted. “Now don’t take this get back shit personal.”

All beef aside, DS4 is looking like it will be a massive record. Gunna also unveiled the album’s Daniel Arsham-designed cover art on Tuesday, an experience that Arsham reflected fondly on.

“I’ve been a fan of Gunna’s music for quite some time and was pleased when he reached out to me a number of months ago through DM with questions about my work,” Daniel said in a statement. “He was very curious about how some of the pieces that I create are made. He was intrigued about the crystal materials I use and the idea of time travel and the future, present within the works. We connected in person a few times and at some point he asked if I wanted to work on the DS4 album cover with him.”
