Kanye West‘s highly anticipated Donda album finally hit streaming services on Sunday (August 29) following a series of spectacular listening sessions and seemingly endless delays.

Unlike many of Kanye’s fans and peers, though, Chris Brown isn’t celebrating Donda‘s long-awaited release.
Following the album’s arrival on August 29, Breezy took to social media to air his grievances with Mr. West. The 32-year-old singer posted (and then deleted) an Instagram Story with the caption, “Kanye a whole hoe.” He followed up with another Instagram Story that read, “Nah he tweakin.”
Chris Brown didn’t explain or elaborate on his issues with Kanye West, but it seems the tension stems from him being omitted from Donda. Chris’ verse on “New Again” has been cut from the final version of the album, although his background vocals on the song can still be heard.

Chris Brown certainly appeared to be excited about appearing on Donda. In July, when Kanye was still working on the album, he posted an Instagram Story with the caption, “Dat Yeezy and Breezy,” alongside the eyeballs emoji. The pair previously linked up on “Waves,” from Kanye’s 2016 album The Life of Pablo.
It’s unclear why Chris Brown’s verse was cut from “New Again,” but one would suspect it isn’t due to his checkered history. Kanye’s recent last-minute tweaks to Donda saw DaBaby and Marilyn Manson, who are both mired in controversy, added to the album.

DaBaby remains in hot water following his seemingly homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami in July — and less-than-convincing attempts at an apology — while Manson is currently facing numerous allegations of sexual assault, including from his ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood.
