Blending smooth vocals with sun-soaked beats, Blxst‘s music is tailor-made for that West Coast lifestyle. So it’s no surprise that Apple Maps has enlisted the HipHopDX Rising Star to curate a guide to his hometown of Los Angeles.

The immersive mapping feature allows Apple users to explore the City of Angels through Blxst’s eyes, taking fans to some of his favorite spots throughout the city. From must-try restaurants in Crenshaw to the first black-owned tattoo shop in Beverly Hills, the “Chosen” singer provides a personally-curated checklist of things to see and do in L.A, complete with words from the man himself about what each spot means to him.
“Excited to give my fans a closer look at my favorite spots in L.A. with this new Guide in Apple Maps,” Blxst said in a press release. “These businesses, restaurants, and shops are a great way to see and enjoy the city from my perspective.”
Blxst’s guide to Los Angeles is brought to life by stunning black-and-white photos taken by veteran Hip Hop photographer Travis Shinn, whose work includes portraits of Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Diddy and more.

After solidifying his status as one of L.A.’s hottest new acts with last year’s No Love Lost LP, Blxst has built on his momentum by releasing two projects this year so far: the Just For Clarity EP and Sixtape 2, his second joint project with fellow Los Angeles native Bino Rideaux.
Blxst is currently gearing up to embark on his first-ever North American tour this fall — although if you’re still trying to cop a ticket, you’re out of luck.
