Curren$y and a handful of other Twitter users are giving Diddy a hard time for his latest motivational pitch to the worlds’ hustlers.
In an instantly viral clip posted to his personal Instagram on Tuesday (July 6), the carefree, fruit-consuming REVOLT CEO proceeds to make seemingly incredulous claims about his previous circumstances, insisting the severe and in-your-face pest infestations of his past forced his hand to level up.
“One day when I was growing up, I woke up and there was 15 roaches on my face. At that moment I said hell no, I refuse to live like this. Work hard, believe in your crazy dreams… AND NEVER SETTLE! #LOVE,” Diddy wrote in the caption of the video with an equally unbelievable oceanside view.
Curren$y quickly picked up on the game Puff Daddy was laying down and ran with it to Twitter, where he shared a roaches-to-riches story of his own in honor of Diddy’s moving message.

“Woke up to 15 roaches n my ashtray…,” Spitta started off in the tweet. “I knew then I had rise up outta my situation… now empty them hoes out before they look stupid. We gettin money niggaaaaaaa.”
Following suit with a 420-friendly zinger, host of Showtime’s Desus & Mero, The Kid Miro, fired off his own roaches-themed remark.
“1 DAY I WOKE UP WITH 15 ROACHES ON MY FACE..” Mero started off the all-caps roast. “I SAID I CANT LIVE LIKE THIS, I GOT UP OFF THE FLOOR TOOK THE ROACHES OFF MY FACE AND PUT THEM BACK IN THE ASHTRAY SO I COULD SMOKE EM LATER BELIEVE IN YOUR CRAZY DREAMS OR WHATEVER.. IMA EAT A MANGO IN THE SUN..BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.”
Rap comedy duo ItsTheReal also joined in on the fun, writing, “RT if you were one of the roaches on Diddy’s face,” while son of West Coast rap vet Ice Cube, O’Shea Jackson Jr., called Diddy out for blatantly embellishing his story for clout in his swipe.

“Hy-per-bo-le 15!?!,” O’Shea exclaimed. “First of all just one roach is enough for me to understand lmao But dawg 15?! Roaches crawling on face and you get up in the mirror to count or something!?! You know damn well you feel up girl HAIR on yo face you swat that sh*t to death.”
It’s clear that everyone, including Spitta himself, enjoy Diddy’s unique disposition and are paying homage with the jokes in good faith. Curren$y actually revealed how he and the Bad Boy music mogul bumped into each other years ago during SXSW music festival for JAY-Z’sHigh Tales MONOGRAM series and explained how Diddy’s energy nearly inspired collaboration with Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids.
“You know I’m saying, like on my way to perform I just like as I was walking through and he was I’m sure was going to do something else at the Fader For or something like to do some real Diddy shit but was like, ‘Nah where’s that train going.’” he recalled.
“And then went to the side stage watched the whole set then we got off he was like, ‘You got more of that shit?’ like, ‘Yeah,’ then he was like — but you gotta check this out. We actually fucking, I was gonna drop a tape with a Chuck Inglish from the Cool Kids. It was going to be named ‘Puff Daddy’ like right off that conversation and we got the okay to do that shit and all that but I just I never got around to it this reminds me that I need to knock that out so yeah I’ll probably go to the studio when we leave here.”
