Fans of Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel have been waiting to catch a glimpse of the rappers hitting the stage to perform since their release from prison. On Thursday (May 13), Big News Network reported Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel will be performing alongside Nigerian Afrobeats and Afro-pop star Davido for a global live stream concert on June 18.

The concert is being put together by Minerco, Inc., also known as The Magic Mushroom Company, as part of a docudrama that will be available soon on streaming services. Fans who want to attend the show can purchase tickets using Minerco’s crypto-based payment system. The concert is the first of its kind that uses cryptocurrency as payment

Julius Jenge, Chief Executive Officer of Minerco Inc., called the GS9 rappers “some of the most important artists in the world” in a press release.

2021 has been a busy year for the GS9 duo following their lengthy prison bids. Rowdy Rebel got right back in the studio hours after his release and dropped songs with NAV, CJ, Funk Flex and more. In an interview with Complex, Rebel revealed he had a catalog full of music available but was advised by his team to focus on his forthcoming album allegedly named Rowdy vs. Rebel.

Bobby, on the other hand, has yet to release new music or be featured on any songs despite promising fans he would have something ready for them real soon. During a visit to Maino Presents: Kitchen Talks on April 15, the “Hot N-gga” rapper revealed he worked with DaBaby, Quavo, 42 Dugg, Lil Uzi Vert and possibly Jay-Z for his highly-anticipated studio project.

While fans wait for Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel’s proper return to the music industry, their concert with Davido should hold fans over. It’s been a very long time since either of these two men hit a stage and it’s sure to be a moment for them and their fans once the event kicks off next month.
