Tink has love on the brain for the holidays.

Following the release of her Voicemails mixtape in 2019 and Hopeless Romantic on Valentine’s Day, the Chicago-bred singer decided to gift fans an EP filled with records about distrust of a partner, heartbreak and overcoming all at once. A Gift And A Curse arrives with seven new cuts from the former Mosley Music Group signee, including a flip of the holiday classic “Silent Night” to fit the EP’s theme of love and loss.

“After a breakup, we always look at the situation like a curse,” Tink said of the project. “But in reality, sometimes a breakup is a Gift.”

Aside from “Silent Nite,” the EP dives deep into relationship issues commonly seen on days where you don’t have to necessarily exchange gifts. On the EP closer “Lessons,” Tink sings, “You thought I would break, you thought I would never fall in love again. You thought I would drown when you showed me the real, losing you just made me find myself. Thank you for the lessons that you taught me.”
