Megan Thee Stallion finally confessed Tory Lanez was the triggerman in last month’s shooting incident on Thursday (August 20).
As the news spread, a post by a woman who allegedly dated Lanez started making the rounds, accusing the Canadian rapper of putting her through months of abuse during their brief romantic relationship. The woman explained why she stayed silent for so long in an Instagram post.
“I’ve been dealing with physical, verbal and emotional abuse for the past 9 months from someone most of you look up to and even idolize: @torylanez,” she wrote. I’ve been quiet about this whole situation because I felt the need to protect him, knowing what he’s gone through and not having any real support system.
“I’ve done nothing to this man but showed him genuine love and support, even when he constantly humiliated me and embarrassed me in public. I never once disrespected him until today when he pulled up at my house uninvited (second day in a row).”

The woman continued, “I have moved on and he has refused to accept it: ‘if I can’t have you no other n*gga can’ and at this point I feel like my life is at risk. Never in my life have I felt so scared. As I type this tears are running down my face because I know I’m not the only one going through this.
“It took a lot for me to make this public, but I know a lot of women have lost their lives because they simply didn’t speak up, and I refuse to be a victim. Today I’ve decided to speak up about the situation that is threatening to me, as I don’t know what he’s thinking and I don’t know what to expect.”
According to another tweet, other publications and blogs posted the woman’s confession but minutes later were scrubbed. Much like Megan described, people believe Lanez’s team is working tirelessly behind the scenes to make these allegations disappear.

“So, since you hoes so worried ’bout it, yes this n*gga Tory shot me,” Meg said in part. “You shot me! And you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and shit. Stop lying.”
Meg was shot on July 12 after a night out in the Hollywood Hills with Kylie Jenner and Lanez. Witnesses at the scene reported hearing multiple people arguing outside of a black SUV before shots rang out. Although the vehicle had fled by the time police arrived, officers ultimately caught up with it and discovered Megan, Lanez and another woman inside.
Lanez was arrested for felony possession of a concealed weapon, while Megan was taken to a local hospital with injuries to her feet. She later revealed she’d been shot during the melee but didn’t identify the shooter — until this week.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office was already considering filing felony assault charges against Lanez and Meg’s recent confession likely won’t help his case.
