Drake can add another person to his long list of enemies now that he’s issued a response to Dancehall artist Mavado.
On Friday (August 7), the 6 God hopped into the comments section of his buddy Popcaan’s Instagram live and sent a few shots in the direction of the Gully God.
“Some bwoy love chat about yaad man and some next fuckery and all now dem can’t catch up to the 876 Gad go hold a one seat and a box juice and hush ya mout OVO UNRULY,” Drizzy wrote in the comments.
This whole beef started with Drake’s “Headie Freestyle” where he spits some rhymes in regards to Mavado’s hometown of Cassava Piece in Jamaica. The “So Special” rapper took offense to the song and retaliated with “Enemy Line,” a diss aimed at Popcaan and the Canadian rap star.

Mavado shared the song on Instagram with a caption that aims to remind Drizzy he’s playing on the Gully God’s turf.
“Remember this Dancehall a mi play ground, Dancehall is my job,” said Mavado in the post. “I’ve been a superstar over 15yrs and created countless hit songs in my genre while developing my unique singjay style of which The new generation is all about today solidifying the craft.”
“You are not from Dancehall. You have no Power in Dancehall n everybody know who introduce you to Dancehall so don’t feel like you can come disrespect Gully take that out you brain n don’t dweet again,” Mavado warned Drizzy.
Drake was friends with Mavado early on in his career where he regularly shouted out the Gully God. The friendship was so good that Mavado played the antagonist in Drake’s “Find Your Love” video in 2010. Despite the collaboration, Drake seems like he wants this battle with his former friend.
