J. Cole‘s new PUMA sneaker has passed Freddie Gibbs’ inspection.
On Wednesday (August 5), the Alfredo rapper shared a video showing off his brand new RS-Dreamers and praising their design before testing them out.
“Hell yeah, Cole!” he exclaims in the clip with Problem looking on. “I ain’t even mad at ya, Cole. I ain’t mad at you, Cole. This muthafucka hard bro. I’ma ball you in your own shit. Come get this work, nigga!”
He then took the kicks to task, successfully landing a dunk.

“In the J. Coles!” he yelled as he landed the shot.
The basketball sneakers are Cole’s first with PUMA in their multi-year deal, released on Friday (July 31) exclusively through the Foot Looker Inc. Family of Brands.
“When said out loud, all the best dreams sound crazy,” Cole said of the sneakers in a press release. “Dreamer was created with the belief that, still, we must follow ours, no matter how unachievable they may seem to others.”
Cole has hoop dreams of his own, and has been hinting at trying out for the NBA. In July, Cole wrote an essay for The Players Tribune and detailed the struggle he had choosing Hip Hop over basketball while hinting he may revisit the dream at 35.

“I still find myself staring at that other one in the distance, wondering if I can climb,” he wrote at the end of the letter. “At 35 years old, I know that sounds crazy when said out loud, but I believe all of the best dreams do.”
The Detroit Pistons have offered Cole a tryout, but he has yet to respond.
