Lil Uzi Vert always had jokes, apparently.

As the Eternal Atake rapper celebrated his 26th birthday on Friday (July 31), a photo of a yearbook superlative he was once awarded in school went viral on social media. Rather unsurprisingly, the often playful rapper was named “Class Clown.”

Fans weren’t exactly laughing hours earlier when Uzi failed to deliver on what many assumed would be a joint mixtape with Future. After they teased a collab that would involve a Hype Williams-directed video earlier in the month, chatter of a tape got louder when Akademiks claimed the pair would deliver one by July’s end.

People weren’t left completely empty handed, however, as Uzi and Future did release a pair of singles.

Lil Uzi Vert Claims He Fought Playboi Carti To Squash 'Beef'

“Patek” and “Over Your Head” were put out with no further information, so it’s still possible they will eventually live on a collaborative project. The effort will follow successful solo projects from both artists in 2020, who each earned No. 1 debuts and eventual platinum certifications from the RIAA. Uzi’s Eternal Atake in March opened with 288,000 copies sold, while Future’s High Life LP in May also did numbers with 153,000 equivalent album units.
