DJ Khaled intends to deliver some new summer anthems despite the COVID-19 pandemic’s effects on the season. The We The Best Music Group founder announced he’s recruited Drake for two singles, which are scheduled to drop on Friday (July 17).

“2 KEYS 2 ANTHEMS 2 DJ KHALED FEAT. @champagnepapi THIS FRIDAY!” he wrote. “THURSDAY 12 MIDNIGHT EACH [key emoji] LEADS TO THE NEXT [key emoji] ALBUM MODE.”

He added, “#WETHEBESTOVO SO YOU KNOW @wethebestmusic THROUGH THESE NEW TIMES DARK TIMES ,and this NEW NORM WE MUST FIND THE LIGHT ! I WILL BRING THE LIGHT THE LOVE AND MORE BLESSINGS ! FAN LUV MAY THE [key emoji]s BE WIT U!”

Khaled has previously collaborated with Drake on songs such “No New Friends,” “I’m On One,” “Fed Up” and “For Free.” Drizzy last worked with the DJ on the 2017 track “To The Max,” which appeared on Khaled’s platinum-selling album Grateful.

The new Drake-assisted singles will be fans’ first preview of Khaled’s 12th studio album. The currently untitled LP is the follow-up to 2019’s Father Of Asahd, which was also certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Earlier this year, Khaled and his wife Nicole Tuck welcomed their second child into the world. He also executive produced the Bad Boys For Life soundtrack and played a small role in the film.

More recently, Khaled and his wife teamed with The Miami Rescue Mission for Women and Children and Overtown Youth Center to cover the rent for three families in Miami for a full year. The We The Best Foundation also donated an undisclosed amount to the Miami Rescue Mission to help other families in the program.
