In July 2019, Conway The Machine unleashed “Bang,” a scathing track featuring Eminem that marked the first time the Griselda MC landed a guest verse from his Shady Records boss.
The track featured Em going after a few notable names including Ja Rule and Iggy Azalea to Canibus but in a newly surfaced alternate version, Em’s sending shots at Joe Budden and Diddy‘s media network, REVOLT.
“Yeah, shout to Puffy Combs, but fuck REVOLT,” Em raps on the track. “Y’all are like a fucked up remote, now I get it why our button’s broke, cause you pressing the heat but do nothing though, especially when it comes to punch this throne.”
He continues taking shots at Budden, rapping, “Wasted tissue, tell this journalist stick to the stuff he know, like always running, from Migos.” You can hear the alternate version of the track below.
Given Em’s demeanor when “Bang” was originally released, he and Budden were involved in a feud over Budden’s thoughts regarding Em’s maligned Revival album. It only continued into 2020 when Em released Music To Be Murdered By and dissed Joe on “Lock It Up.”

“Trader Joe, Trader Joe, Trader Joe — that’s hurtful,” Budden said of the diss. “That’s not right! That’s offensive, man. Trader Joe? I’m Joe. You’re telling me Joe is a traitor?”
He continued, “The same way I feel like [Eminem] should stop dissing Lord Jamar, he should stop dissing me. Hey, whatever we had—that exchange when you did all the [multi-day interview segments with Sway Calloway], and whenever I said whatever I said on the pod’, it a moment in time. We had our exchange. It’s over.”
