The Lil Tjay and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie drama isn’t over quite yet. After a messy online back-and-forth went down over the weekend, A Boogie is now calling foul on Tjay’s claim one of his cohorts stole a Highbridge chain in less than a day as promised.

On Sunday (May 3), Tjay told A Boogie’s Highbridge label mate Don Q he was going to steal a Highbridge chain and let him devour his genitalia. He soon shared a video of the chain in question to his Instagram Stories, saying, “Less than 24 hours. What’s up. What we doin’?”

A Boogie quickly hit his Instagram Stories to debunk the claim.

“One of the Bro’s DROPPED/LOST his chain a long ass time ago while we dragged a nigga and that’s word to Melody,” he wrote. “Nigga got the audacity to buy it off a random nigga, shoot a vid with it and front like he did something. Lost all my respect for you smh. Stay true to yourself.”

The beef popped off on Saturday (May 2) when Tjay posted an Instagram video promoting his upcoming State Of Emergency mixtape and took shots at Tekashi 6ix9ine and A-Boogie in the caption.

FUCK ALL THAT OTHER SHIT GOING ON RN SHIT IRRELEVANT,” he wrote in all caps. “ONLY THING I KNOW IS IM SHUTTING THE STREETS DOWN FROM NOW ON IM THE KING OF NY !! ALL THAT OTHER NA NA NA SHIT ND SNITCH RAINBOW HAIR SHIT GOING ON IN MY CITY A DUBB!

“THE REAL GON UNDERSTAND… MAY 8 IM GIVING YALL THAT PAIN YALL NEED, ITZ UP NY STAND TF UP.”

But it appears Tjay has since chanced his tune. On Monday (May 4), he shared a series of videos to his Instagram Stories, essentially apologizing for his behavior.

“Man, today’s a new day. I ain’t neva gonna lie. Real shit though. I swear, I’m going back to the old Lil Tjay. I’m not arguing. This is why I don’t post a lot because I can’t control myself. I start getting out of hand and shit. My fault for getting out of composure, you know what I mean.

“May 8. The State of Emergency mixtape droppin’. Be postin’ the tracklisting soon. It’s all about the music, man. Fuck this beef shit. That’s not good. I don’t encourage it. I ain’t perfect, you know, but I’ll be a’ight.”

The bravado came as a surprise to many of his fans. Up until his most recent outbursts, the New-York-bred rapper has been quite reserved online. With an album on the way, TJay will likely do a press run so time will tell if this was a one time incident.
