Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, is currently tied up in some legal trouble. The Beverly Hills transplant was arrested earlier this month for failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California.
While L.A. County ultimately dropped the charge, he still faces federal charges for the same crime. As part of his pretrial release conditions, he’s banned from using the internet, something he evidently wasn’t happy about. According to TMZ, Petty filed legal documents begging a judge to lift the ban.
Prosecutors have already signed off on the request and now it’s up to a judge to provide the final decision.
Petty pleaded not guilty for failing to register as a sex offender but still has a curfew in place. He’s also required to wear an ankle monitor until his court date next month and stay put in Southern California.

Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995 when he was still a teenager.
