Less than 24 hours after the shooting of 23-year-old Makeda Barnes-Joseph, rapper Remy Ma turned herself over to
authorities and has officially been charged with attempted murder, assault and
criminal possession of a weapon.

Remy’s manager directed
all calls to her attorney as she wasn’t allowed to receive them herself.

“I ask everyone to
keep an open mind … Things are not always as they seem,”
attorney Scott Leemon said.
